Why Turf Management
Is At A Turning Point?

Greenkeepers need healthier grass plus environmentally friendly products.

Disease pressure, tighter regulations and growing expectations around sustainability mean
turf managers are increasingly looking for new, environmentally responsible options that improve
turf health while reducing reliance on harmful chemicals. Many progressive greenkeepers are
now asking a different question: How can we help the grass plant defend itself better
— rather than only reacting once disease appears?

What PhytoFortify is and how it helps you!

PhytoFortify is a next-generation plant-strengthening technology designed to support turfgrass by working with the plant’s own natural defence systems.

PhytoFortify is not a fungicide and not a pesticide.Rather than targeting pathogens directly, PhytoFortify focuses on improving the plant’s ability to cope with disease and stress, helping turf remain stronger, more resilient and better able to recover.
It is designed to sit naturally within integrated turf management programmes, alongside sound agronomy, nutrition and cultural practices.

Benefits:1. Healthier, stronger turf that stands up better to weather, wear and play.2. Fewer last-minute fire-fights, giving you more control through the season.3. Confidence you’re moving in the right direction as chemical regulations tighten.4. Remove risk of run-off, helping keep nearby waterways and wildlife habitats clean.5. Sleep better, knowing you’re ahead of issues, not chasing them.6. Pride in the course, from members, management and the wider community.

It represents a new cutting-edge option for turf professionals looking ahead — a shift toward defence-led turf management, rather than pathogen-led intervention.

Why early adopters are
paying attention

PhytoFortify brings together three great elements in one product:

Advanced German plant technology

Built around modern toxin-free, plant-defence
and resilience concepts.

Real-world Irish golf course trials

Independently designed and run on-course under diverse Irish conditions since early 2025.

For progressive greenkeepers

Already applied by a select panel of forward-thinking turf managers interested in sustainable, future-ready approaches.

How it Works

Most products start with the question: “What does this eliminate?”

PhytoFortify starts somewhere better: “How does the plant respond?”

Our trials focus on observable plant defence responses, including:

1. Activation of natural defence pathways2. Production of defence-related compounds3. Turf resilience and recovery under stress

We prioritise plant health and defence capacity first, rather than relying solely
on reactive intervention. Helping you with forward-thinking turf management

Independent, on-course Irish trials our approach

PhytoFortify is currently undergoing independent, on-course evaluation.
The trial programme is being designed and run by Dr John Dempsey, PhD, an independent turfgrass scientist with extensive experience in turf disease biology and plant defence responses.

Dr Dempsey acts as an independent observer, overseeing trial design, on-course implementation and evaluation of turf responses under real playing conditions.
Trials have been running since early 2025 and combine replicated field observations with laboratory analysis.

Final trial results are currently under assessment and will be released in due course.

Early observations (ongoing)

While real-time Irish course trials are ongoing, early on-course observations have been very encouraging on diseases that can cause headaches.Independent observations to date include:Waitea Patch: good suppression observed.
Dollar Spot strong turf recovery following pressure.
Microdochium Patch data currently under assessment

These observations are qualitative and shared to provide transparency during the trial phase. Final conclusions will be drawn once all replicated data has been analysed.

Testimonials

Alongside our trials, PhytoFortify has also been applied by a select number of independent
golf courses across Ireland, all interested in exploring new, sustainable turf technologies.

Andrew Spelman

Woodbrook Golf Club, Co. Wicklow

“At Woodbrook, we applied PhytoFortify as a preventive measure on an area known to struggle with Dollar Spot. It ended up being the best-performing section of the course, remaining robust and stress-free. The improvement in consistency and strength was impressive.

Jonathan Bradshaw

Druids Glen Golf Club, Co. Wicklow

“At Druids Glen, PhytoFortify was introduced on a section of turf that had begun to deteriorate under pressure from Dollar Spot. The treated area responded exceptionally well, returning to strong, healthy condition, while the neighbouring untreated area continued to show signs of stress. The contrast was unmistakable.

Why we’re inviting interest now

PhytoFortify is in the final stage of its independent trial programme, with results currently being consolidated ahead of release.

Based on progress to date, we are preparing our first commercial launch of PhytoFortify, ahead of a controlled initial release.

Availability will be limited to ensure quality supply, technical support and long-term performance standards.
